This group covers Japanese, Korean, Thai, Vietnamese, Indian and other Asian cuisines that are not Chinese, and the etiquette varies by kitchen. Japanese and Korean restaurants often take reservations for dinner and may add a service charge for large groups; Thai and Vietnamese spots are usually walk-in and quick-turnover. Spice levels are frequently adjustable on request at Thai, Indian and Sichuan-adjacent menus, so say if you want it mild or hot. Korean BBQ restaurants typically charge per person for all-you-can-eat service with a time limit, and grills are shared at the table. Vietnamese pho shops post bowl sizes (regular or large) and a plate of herbs, bean sprouts and lime is normal to add yourself. Card and tap-to-pay are widely accepted; cash-only is more common at small family-run counters.

The best restaurant ramen Iβve had in NY. I went here with my partner and we were seated at bar seats because of how busy it was. The wait time was about 30-40 mins, and they prioritized seatings based on the size people. We were only two people however two groups of 4 were seated before us.. which was a little frustrating. Regardless the food made up for it, we got the tonkotsu ramen and the gyoza. The gyoza was so soft and flavorful, the ramen had an amazing broth is so much depth full of flavors and the toppings and ramen itself was perfect. Their drinks are also very goodβ¦ my partner and I are definitely going back!

I got there about 12pm on a Saturday. The restaurant was about 3/4 full because the place is small. There were 2 woman waitresses who were friendly. I was seated right away at the bar area. Upon looking at the menu, I ordered the Una Don (Eel), Tori Karaage (fried chicken thigh), and Mango Parfait. I received the chicken first, it came with mayo that had a spice seasoning on top. It tasted good but one piece of the chicken had soft bone. I think the waitress saw me spit it out because she asked me is everything ok? I told her I'm fine. The Una Don came next and tasted good as well. It comes with about 2 to 3 cups of white rice below the eel, egg and cucumber. I was full after but still ordered the mango parfait. The waitress gave me instructions that I have to dump it in a bowl, mix it around and eat it. It was really good.

Had a great experience at Youta Ramenβdefinitely more than just a ramen spot. The food felt thoughtfully prepared and beautifully presented. The standout for me was the sashimi salad βsuper fresh fish with a nice balance of textures, especially paired with the crispy lotus root chips. The salmon yukke was simple but really well executed, with a clean, rich flavor. Overall, a solid spot if youβre looking for quality Japanese dishes beyond just ramen. Iβd definitely come back to try more.

Wow amazing food and service!! I got the Niku ramen I definitely recommend it, one of the best meals Iβve had. My partner had the tonkatsu ramen, he said in his opinion if youβre looking for crunch inside, add the chicken appetizer to the ramen and itβs perfect. The only slight problem was itβs very tiny, and the place fills up QUICK! But I see how this place was nominated #2 nationwide for ramen, great spot.

I went to this place for lunch and to scout it out. It was my first time coming here, and the first thing that happened when entering the establishment is one of the staff welcoming me. The restaurant itself is a bit small, but the serving staff there are very attentive and kind. And the decor within the place is very colorful and eye-catching. The place also seems to be a hot spot for friends and family with children. I ordered the Fried Shrimp Curry with Melon Cream Soda. As I waited, the staff made sure every customer's glass of water was always filled, and they took out out any remnants of trash that was on the table. As soon as my food came out, it smelled absolutely delicious, so I immediately digged in. The curry sauce was hot and smooth, while the fried shrimp were so crispy and juicey. Paired with the cold melon soda, the entire dish was amazing. I will definitely have to come back to this establishment with my friends and siblings, so we can try out the ramen and rice bowl dishes!
